When danger meets desire, only the strongest survive.

Joanie’s dream has always been to give something back. Shubert, the kitty cat love of her life was her first rescue, and she was bound and determined to make volunteering at the Saving Furry Lives Shelter part of her reality. Joanie rescues a wolf pup and it bites her, setting off a chain of events she doesn’t anticipate. Appearances can be deceiving and some bites are much worse than their bark.

Dr. Royce Buchanan is a doctor tired of the dating scene. While the women he’s met through Shifting Hearts Dating Agency are lovely, he wants a mate to settle down with. So far all he’s found are a lot of clingy women with doctor fixations. He’s been burned one too many times before and prefers to get his kink on at Ventures, a local BDSM club catering to shifters. But when an injured woman shows up in his emergency room and his wolf goes on high alert, his safe world is about to go up in flames. Someone is gunning for shifters and to keep this new wolf safe, Royce might have to break his own cardinal rule and get involved, even if it could cost him his heart.

Hi there! I’m Erzabet Bishop and I write erotic romance of all kinds. Thanks for this opportunity to share my book, Waking Up Wolf in the Coming in Hot box set and help my readers get to know a little bit more of the real me.

Tell us about your title featured in this set:
My title is called Waking Up Wolf and it has taken me about two weeks to write it. The title stems from a series called Shifting Hearts where shifters of all kinds find their mates.

Tell us something about yourself:
By day, I am a questionably mild mannered *snort* bookstore manager who lives just outside of Houston, Texas. I’m married with a pack of furry kids that rule my world. I write under three names, and under the Erzabet Bishop name I am an award-winning, international and bestselling author.

Tell us about your writing process:
My writing process starts with a legal pad. I make notes and from there go to a sticky pad. The plot points are then arranged and rearranged until the story flows the way I want it to. I also use Pinterest to capture the essence of what the story will become.

What is your favourite genre to read?
Paranormal romance, urban fantasy and contemporary romance. I also love teen books.

What would you say is the one thing you are most passionate about?
That is a tie between my writing and my dogs. My husband and I have made a home for several rescue animals and I believe very strongly in giving an animal a forever home and a place they can feel safe. I love my dogs like children, my blind muse of a pup, Taddy in particular.

My writing is a passion as well. I want to some day be able to write full time but that will only happen if I continue to push myself. Girl’s gotta have goals. J

When you are not writing, what do you like to do?
I love to snuggle with my puppy and read, watch Netflix (Walking Dead, Orange is the New Black, Breaking Bad…) I also love to try new restaurants with my husband when he can pry me out of my writing chair.

Warmth pooled low in her belly, desire for the man in front of her derailing her already addled senses. Joanie blinked and tried to get a grip.

She’d just had a sex fantasy about her doctor and he was standing inches away from her.

Maybe she had fallen on her head. Hard.

She glanced away but as she did so, she caught the erection tenting Dr. Buchanan’s trousers before he shifted his white coat to shield it from view.

     Well now…

Maybe she wasn’t the only one affected by their close proximity. She didn’t go around sleeping with strange men, however, doctor or not.

But judging by the sizable protrusion, she could climb that bad boy and roost for awhile.

That would be some great physical therapy as far as she was concerned.

Trying to be serious, Joanie cleared her throat.

“And will you be, um, accompanying me for this physical therapy?” Joanie said slowly. All fantasies aside, she wasn’t going anywhere. Not until someone told her what the hell was going on. She watched enough true crime shows. People didn’t get taken out of hospital beds and loaded into SUV’s in the middle of the night without something very wrong going on.

At least, she thought it was night.

She eyed the cup on the bedside table. Did they put something in the water?

“Come on. We have to go.”

“No.” She shrank against the pillows, trying to make it as difficult as possible. God… where was the call button? She frantically searched the wall and tried to reach it. She struggled against them and Nina grabbed hold of her arm.

“Come on, Joanie. Cooperate, please. The man who came after you has friends. We need to get you and the others to safety before he comes looking for you.”

     Man who came after me?

     Why couldn’t she remember?

     “No.”

“Get out of the bed, or the nurse and I will do it for you.” Dr. Buchanan considered her, eyes blazing with challenge.

He was such an arrogant bastard. So why did she want to pull him on top of her and fuck him until they both couldn’t walk?

Gah. She was losing her marbles. One by one. Gone.

     “I'm not going anywhere.”

     There. She said it again.

     “Nina, get the sedative.”

     Shit.

Cecilia’s Five Favorites

Hey, y’all, I’m so excited to be here! I was told I needed
to figure out five favorite things, so I decided to try and do something a
little bit different than the usual. So, here we go:

Favorite meal of the day – lunch!
Perhaps as a child I was influenced by Weird Al Yankovic’s
early classic “Girl Just Want to Have Lunch.” It’s the perfect meal of the day.
Don’t feel like real food? Have breakfast, call it brunch, and claim to be all
fancy on Instagram! Can’t decide whether you want to have caffeine or alcohol?
No problem – have both! No one’s going to be judging you unless you’ve brought
beer into McDonald’s. And hey, if you have brought beer into a fast food joint,
I salute your determination to embrace the noncommittal nature of this meal,
especially if you then order breakfast.

By the way, I really like breakfast, too, and I’m not above
having a mimosa whenever I can.

Favorite weather – bring on autumn!
If you live in the Southeast U.S., you know it’s been a
really hot summer, even for us. I have naturally curly hair, and it has its own
ideal range for humidity separate from the rest of me. This summer has
definitely tightened my curl to its limit. The funniest was after going for a
long run in Florida on a recent vacation. Yes, my husband convinced me to go on
a long run while on vacation. I’ve never seen my hair curl as tightly as it did
that morning. If I’d been wearing a hat, it would have popped off. Ugh, that
was miserable – blazing sun, humid as anything, and no breeze.

Oddly my favorite weather still involves a lot of moisture
in the air. I love cool, cloudy days with a breeze and the occasional mist.
It’s perfect for all of my favorite things – napping, writing, reading,
napping, drinking warm or alcoholic beverages while watching the mist, napping,
and sometimes running if I’m in the mood for it. I missed my geographical
calling – I should’ve moved to the Pacific Northwest.

Favorite thing to procrastinate with – playing around with
graphics.
I almost said Facebook, which is connected, but I’ve been
trying to not let unnecessary negativity into my mental space. So, graphics! I
think they relax me by allowing me to use a different part of my brain. I live
in the world of words for both my careers, so it’s nice to get a break and do
something different.

Why don’t you see more graphics from me? Well, I didn’t say
I was good at them. I’ve just gotten a trial for Illustrator. Wish me luck. I
may disappear down the Adobe rabbit hole and never emerge. Deadlines, what
deadlines?

Favorite kind of pen – anything narrow and ball-point.
I thought I’d stick something writerly in here. I love the
Pentel RSVP pens, specifically the narrowest ones. They’re great for writing
and doodling, which I do during webinars and lectures but not client sessions.
I can’t doodle during session – I use electronic health records, which makes it
hard.

My husband asked me once if I write my novels during session
while pretending to take notes. I told him no, but really, would I admit it if
I did?

As for why ball point, I just can’t do the felt tip thing.

Favorite sport – sleeping.
As you’ve probably guessed by now, I love to sleep. If you
don’t think sleeping is a competitive sport, you’ve never been at my house on a
Sunday morning. No, I’m not inviting you for brunch, although I’m sure that
would be lovely. I don’t typically watch sports, and if I’m going to compete,
it’s going to be something I’m good at. I’m a reluctant runner but a champion
sleeper.

And if you do show up for brunch on a random Sunday morning,
I won’t make fun of you for being pretentious. Just don’t come over too early,
and be sure to bring mimosa fixins. It’s hot out.

Former model and heartbreaker Kyra Ellison is accustomed to making trouble, not being on the receiving end. When she’s kicked out of her family’s Ozarks cabin where she's been taking refuge - okay, hiding - after a wicked ancient syndrome wrecked her old life, she's forced to go to Salem, Massachusetts. Yes, that Salem, where a murder, witches with secrets, and handsome billionaire make danger irresistible. Kyra finds she's not the only one with secrets and skeletons in her family closet, but some are more deadly than others. A confrontation with ancient danger and a new foe forces her to choose between the old life she's been craving and the new love that might make everything worth it in the end..

A moonbeam found its way through the blinds and speared me awake at around three o’clock. I rolled away from it, but my movement was echoed by a thud downstairs. I sat, all senses alert, and heard a scratching sound like boots scrabbling in sand.

I pulled the T-shirt I’d slept in over my head just before my hands curled into paws. My fingernails turned into claws, and the change came on from my extremities. It felt like I curled inward and folded into shapes no human body should endure. The fur itched as it pushed through pores I hadn’t had before, but I couldn’t control my paws enough to scratch it.

The final thing to change was my face, and that was the worst sensation, of someone taking my nose and pulling so hard it brought my skull with it.

Then the pain stopped, and a sense of strength, grace, and deadliness unfurled like a flag in my middle and filled me with purpose. To my wolf eyes, the room seemed awash in daylight—not moonlight—and my lips curled.

There was an intruder in my house, and I wanted to tear him or her apart.

No tearing apart, I reminded myself. Not unless I want a visit from that nice policeman later.

I jumped off the bed with as little noise as possible and slunk into the hallway and down the stairs. My fur was the same color as my hair—almost black—so I knew I would blend into the shadows.

Whereas the sulfurous smell had dissipated to my human nose, it was still very strong and present to my wolf nose. But that wasn’t what made me stop, all fur on end, when I turned toward the front hall. The sand I had stepped in glowed an opalescent blue, and I saw it was in a circle shape about three feet in diameter. I could see the panes of the front door through the ghostly figure that struggled in the middle of it.

My wolf brain, eminently practical, noted that I couldn’t do anything about a ghost because it wasn’t solid enough to be afraid of me, so I should just turn around and go back to bed.

But then I heard my name.

My ears perked up, and I moved closer, sticking to the darker patches. Why was the ghost calling my name? Was it a deceased family member visiting for the Festival of the Dead? What was I supposed to do about it?

“Kyra, where are you? I’m trapped. I just want to talk to you.”

The ghost pushed against some sort of invisible barrier. When I got close enough to make out its features, I gasped, which came out as a canine huff.

Jared Steel was the ghost trapped in the circle.

“What are you doing here? Are you dead?” I didn’t know if he would hear my mental voice, but he spun around.

“Where are you? I can’t see you.”

“I’m right here. It’s nighttime. Why are you here in my parents’ house? Are you dead?”

“No, I don’t think so. I think I’m dreaming.” He looked at his hands and grew more solid. I moved out of the shadows to sit in front of him, and he tried to back up, but he bounced against the back of the circle.

“Kyra, wherever you are, go! There’s a wolf.”

He looked so bewildered I wasn’t sure whether to laugh at him or comfort him. I still didn’t know whether he was dead, but I suspected not. If some wolves could spirit-walk, then I supposed some humans could, too.

I did want to know who had made a binding circle in my foyer, but I guessed it wasn’t my confused astral projection house guest.

And if he was projecting while he was asleep, I could have some fun. My instincts told me he didn’t realize he had this ability and would just write all this off to a strange dream in the morning.

As he came more into view, his attire resolved itself into shorts and a tight-fitting T-shirt that hugged the muscles of his upper arms, shoulders, and chest. Dark hair showed above the rim of the v-neck collar, and I licked my lips at the sight of his lightly fuzzed and nicely shaped legs.

Yes, Jared Steel was quite nice out of his work clothes, and I found myself disappointed that he didn’t sleep naked.

Cecilia Dominic wrote her first story when she was two years old and has always had a much more interesting life inside her head than outside of it. She became a clinical psychologist because she's fascinated by people and their stories, but she couldn't stop writing fiction. The first draft of her dissertation, while not fiction, was still criticized by her major professor for being written in too entertaining a style. She made it through graduate school and got her PhD, started her own practice, and by day, she helps people cure their insomnia without using medication. By night, she blogs about wine and writes fiction she hopes will keep her readers turning the pages all night. Yes, she recognizes the conflict of interest between her two careers, so she writes and blogs under a pen name. She lives in Atlanta, Georgia with one husband and two cats, which, she's been told, is a good number of each. Her debut novel The Mountain's Shadow, an urban fantasy featuring werewolves with a scientific twist, was released in October 2013, the sequel Long Shadows will be out in March 2014, and she has been offered a contract by Samhain for the third in the series, Blood's Shadow. She also writes young adult fiction and won the 2011 Mystery Times Ten contest through Buddhapuss Ink with her YA fantasy mystery The Coral Temple.

Thank you for this opportunity to talk about my new release 'Reclaiming His Mate' and help my readers get to know me better.)

Tell us about your title featured in this set:
The book is the first of five books in the series and I love for my titles to match. I thought about what the book was about, a werewolf trying to deal with past hurt and betrayal in his marriage and realizing he still loved his mate and wanted her back. So the title seemed to flow naturally from that theme.

Tell us something about yourself:
I live in Los Angeles, CA. My husband is a Television and Movie Producer and two of my four children are actors in Hollywood. If you've ever seen the Subaru commercial with the little blond boy driving the car and getting a parking ticket and dropping his groceries, that's my baby boy. I am a huge geek at heart. I love everything Star Wars, Marvel, DC, Star Trek and Fantasy. I cosplay with my family at over 5 Comic Cons a year where I speak. I've gotten pretty good at foam armour this year and next year I’m going to tackle even more elaborate cosplays. We'e gone as Star Wars, Steampunk Alice in Wonderland, X-Men, and this year we are DC Villians and Heroes.

Tell us about your writing process:
My process is different. Something will strike me out of nowhere and I'll think, that was be fun to write. A cowboy in space. (My current WIP) Then I jot down a small summary, maybe one page. From there I think about the characters I need and then I write a 20 chapter outline. Some chapters are no more than one sentence. Finally, I start writing. I don't plot out too much, I let the writing flow where it wants to go. It takes me about a month to write a book, but then 3-6 months up to a year to edit.

What is your favourite genre to read?
Paranormal Romance and Fantasy Romance. Though I do love YA and sci-fi as well.

What would you say is the one thing are you most passionate about?
My family. I love my 4 amazing kids and my husband and my 2 dogs, 2 tortoises and bearded dragon. They are everything to me.

When you are not writing, what do you like to do?
Hang with my kids. I home school them. Watch movies, read, sew, go out to lunch with friends. Go to Comic Cons. Boring stuff.

If someone who hasn’t read any your books asked you to describe your story in this set (the elevator pitch!) what would you say?
After a fateful accident throws estranged mates Dakota and Griffin back together, they must decide whether to forgive each other and give in to the passion that still burns between them, or walk away and lose the love of their lives forever.

Thanx for coming out and meeting me today! I hope you enjoy Reclaiming His Mate and Comin in Hot! Have a great week!

Dakota washed her body, wrung out her hair and stepped out of the shower. Wrapping the towel around herself, she realized she’d gone in without any clothing. She opened the door to find Griffin standing at the dresser. He turned and his eyes widened slightly.

“I’m sorry. I didn’t realize you were in here.” She started to close the door.

“No, it’s fine. I just wanted to grab a sweatshirt.”

She opened the door again and stepped out. His gaze raked up and down her barely covered form. She swallowed hard and wrapped her arms around herself.

“My… uh… underwear is in the top drawer.”

“Huh? Oh, yeah.” He opened the drawer and pulled out a white lacy thong with the tags still attached. “I uh… I mean… these are uhm… nice.”

Her cheeks heated as he crossed the room and held it out. Her fingers slid over his while taking it from him. He ran his thumb over her knuckles and tingles shot up her arm. Warmth spread inside her and he took a step forward. She backed up and hit the wall.

His fingers still cradled hers and she swallowed hard. He stopped inches from her; his body radiating so much heat, she wondered why he needed a sweatshirt.

His hand ran up her bare arm raising goosebumps on her skin. She stared at his hard chest, unable to move. Fear trickled down her spine. It’d been a long time since she’d let anyone touch her. Sure she let friends hug her, but that was all. Alarm bells rung out in her head and she fought a sudden wave of nausea. This was Griffin. Her Griffin. Images flashed into her mind but she locked them away.

He leaned in and smelled her hair. A rumble escaped his chest that made her knees go weak.

“Dakota.” His soft, gentle voice caressed her entire body like warm lotion.

He pushed her chin up, making her look at him. Her heart pounded like a drum circle beat at the yearly Pow Wow. She was okay. She was in charge. She could stop any time she wanted to.

A tear leaked from the corner of her eye and he brushed it away with his knuckles. He loomed closer, his lips mere inches away. The fragrance of his skin, so familiar it was like it was a piece of her. She wanted to feel his lips on hers. To feel his weight on top of her.

No. They couldn’t. If they went there again, she would lose all control and everything she’d fought to become over the past year.

     “Griffin. We shouldn’t.”

His lips danced softly over hers. Tingles lit up her spine and her wolf howled and then roared to life. A dominant scent rolled off Griffin and she pressed her lips to his, sucking in his warm breath. His taste sent a ripple of need coursing through her. Sensual memories flooded her. The feel of their bodies joined. Making love under the stars the first time before he’d gone to boot camp.

Griffin ran his hand up her leg to her hip and grabbed onto her. His lips parted and he coaxed her tongue with his.

She shouldn’t do this. She shouldn’t.

But her resolve broke and she leaned into him. Every line of his body so familiar it was like going home.

He cupped her face with both hands and she dropped her panties then wrapped her arms around his waist. He kissed her with long languid kisses, just the way she liked them. He placed kisses over her cheek and down her neck, stopping just below her earlobe. She sucked in a sharp breath and grabbed his firm rear. He leaned against her harder, and even through his clothes, she could feel he wanted her.

“Dakota. I’ve missed you so much.”
